A good story plants meaning gently, without argument. Allah says: “So relate the stories, that perhaps they may reflect.” (al-Aʿrāf 7:176). The Prophet ﷺ often taught by story — the People of the Ditch, the three trapped in the cave, the leper, the bald and the blind man. (Muslim & al-Bukhārī).
العربية: قال الله تعالى: ﴿فاقصُص القصص لعلّهم يتفكّرون﴾ [الأعراف:176]. وكان النبيّ ﷺ يُكثر من قصّ القصص على أصحابه؛ كقصة أصحاب الأخدود، والثلاثة الذين آواهم المبيت إلى الغار. (مسلم والبخاري).
