The Prophet ﷺ would go to the ʿĪd prayer by one road and return by another. (al-Bukhārī). It is said this let him meet and greet more Muslims along the way, and it is Sunnah to walk to the ʿĪd prayer.

العربية: عن جابر بن عبد الله رضي الله عنهما قال: «كان النبيّ ﷺ إذا كان يوم عيدٍ خالف الطريق». (البخاري).

On ʿĪd, take one route there and another back — and greet the Muslims you pass.
