Greet each new month with duʿā. When the Prophet ﷺ saw the new crescent he would say: “Allāhumma ahillahu ʿalaynā bil‑yumni wal‑īmān, was‑salāmati wal‑Islām; rabbī wa rabbuka-llāh.” (Tirmidhī — ṣaḥīḥ). It also reminds you to prepare for the month's acts of worship.
العربية: عن طلحة بن عبيد الله رضي الله عنه أنّ النبيّ ﷺ كان إذا رأى الهلال قال: «اللهم أهلّه علينا باليُمن والإيمان، والسلامة والإسلام، ربي وربك الله». (الترمذي).
At the sighting of each new month, ask Allah for blessing, safety and steadfastness.
