Before the closing salām, make duʿā. The Prophet ﷺ taught that after the tashahhud and ṣalāh upon him, one should “choose whatever supplication he likes and make it.” (al-Bukhārī & Muslim). He commanded seeking refuge from four: the punishment of the grave, the trial of the Dajjāl, the trials of life and death, and the punishment of Hell.

After the last tashahhud, before the salām, ask Allah for your needs of this life and the next.
