Shorten the four‑rakʿah prayers to two on a journey — a charity from Allah. ʿUmar wondered why we shorten though the fear has passed; the Prophet ﷺ said: “It is a charity Allah has given you, so accept His charity.” (Muslim). He ﷺ never prayed more than two rakʿah on a journey. (al-Bukhārī).
العربية: عن يعلى بن أمية قال: قلت لعمر رضي الله عنه: ﴿ليس عليكم جناحٌ أن تقصروا من الصلاة﴾ وقد أمِن الناس؟ فقال: سألتُ رسول الله ﷺ فقال: «صدقةٌ تصدّق الله بها عليكم فاقبلوا صدقته». (مسلم).
When you travel, shorten Ẓuhr, ʿAṣr and ʿIshāʾ to two rakʿah — accept Allah's ease.
