Cupping is a prophetic remedy. The Prophet ﷺ said: “If there is any good in your remedies, it is in a cut of the cupper, a drink of honey, or a cauterization by fire — but I do not like to be cauterized.” (al-Bukhārī & Muslim). He ﷺ was cupped and paid the cupper.
