In every distress, say ‘Ḥasbunallāhu wa niʿma-l‑Wakīl’ (Allah is enough for us, the best Disposer). Ibrāhīm said it when cast into the fire, and the believers said it when warned of a gathered army — “so it only increased them in faith.” (Āl ʿImrān 3:173) (al-Bukhārī).
العربية: عن ابن عباس رضي الله عنهما قال: «حسبنا الله ونعم الوكيل» قالها إبراهيم عليه السلام حين أُلقي في النار، وقالها محمد ﷺ حين قالوا: ﴿إنّ الناس قد جمعوا لكم فاخشوهم فزادهم إيمانًا وقالوا حسبنا الله ونعم الوكيل﴾. (البخاري).
When overwhelmed or wronged, say ‘Ḥasbunallāhu wa niʿma-l‑Wakīl’ — take the means and rely on Allah.
