Treat Friday as a weekly ʿīd and rejoice in it. The Companions felt its distinction and would prepare something special for it. Sahl said: “We would rejoice on Friday,” and would make a special dish for it. (al-Bukhārī). The Prophet ﷺ said: “The best day on which the sun rises is Friday.” (Muslim).
