Ease those in debt. Jābir's father died owing money; the Prophet ﷺ negotiated with the creditors to accept less. (al-Bukhārī). And when Kaʿb sought a debt from Ibn Abī Ḥadrad in the masjid, the Prophet ﷺ gestured to Kaʿb to take half, then told the debtor: “Rise and pay it.” (al-Bukhārī).
If someone owes you and is struggling, forgive part of the debt — a beautiful ease with great reward.
