Allah praised the Anṣār: “They give preference over themselves, even though they are in need.” (al-Ḥashr 59:9). A hungry guest came to the Prophet ﷺ; an Anṣārī host fed him though he had only his children's food, dimming the lamp so the guest ate while they appeared to eat — and Allah marvelled at their deed. (al-Bukhārī & Muslim).

العربية: قال الله تعالى في الأنصار: ﴿ويؤثرون على أنفسهم ولو كان بهم خصاصة﴾ [الحشر:9].

Give others the better share, even when you need it — Allah loves and rewards self‑sacrifice.
