Ibn ʿUmar heard the Prophet ﷺ say: “Whoever slaps or strikes his servant, its expiation is to free him.” (Muslim). He told Abū Masʿūd, who was beating his slave: “Know that Allah has more power over you than you over him.” (Muslim). The Prophet ﷺ never struck a servant or a woman. (Muslim).
العربية: عن ابن عمر رضي الله عنهما أنّ رسول الله ﷺ قال: «مَن لَطَم مملوكه أو ضربه، فكفّارته أن يُعتقه». (مسلم). وقال لأبي مسعود: «اعلم أنّ الله أقدرُ عليك منك عليه». (مسلم).
Be gentle and just with workers, staff and helpers — never demean or strike them; treat them with iḥsān.
