Choose a spouse above all for religion. The Prophet ﷺ said: “A woman is married for four: her wealth, her lineage, her beauty and her religion — so choose the religious one, may your hands prosper.” (al-Bukhārī & Muslim). And: “The best enjoyment of this world is a righteous wife.” (Muslim).
العربية: عن أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه عن النبيّ ﷺ قال: «تُنكَح المرأةُ لأربع: لمالها ولحسبها ولجمالها ولدينها، فاظفَر بذات الدِّين تربت يداك». (البخاري ومسلم).
