The Prophet ﷺ said: “When night falls (or evening comes), hold back your children, for the devils spread about then; when an hour of the night has passed, release them. And close the doors mentioning Allah's name…” (al-Bukhārī).
العربية: عن جابر رضي الله عنه أنّ رسول الله ﷺ قال: «إذا كان جُنحُ الليل — أو أمسيتم — فكُفّوا صبيانكم، فإنّ الشياطين تنتشر حينئذٍ، فإذا ذهبت ساعةٌ من الليل فخلّوهم، وأغلقوا الأبواب واذكروا اسم الله». (البخاري).
At sunset, bring small children in for a short while and close the doors with Bismillāh — a prophetic protection.
