Choose your friends carefully — you take on their ways. The Prophet ﷺ said: “A man is upon the religion of his close friend, so let each of you look at whom he befriends.” (Abū Dāwūd & Tirmidhī — ṣaḥīḥ). The good companion is like a seller of musk — you gain from his scent. (al-Bukhārī & Muslim).
