The Prophet ﷺ said: “The religion is naṣīḥah.” We said: “To whom?” He said: “To Allah, His Book, His Messenger, the leaders of the Muslims, and their common folk.” (Muslim). And he counted among a Muslim's rights: “When he seeks your advice, advise him sincerely.” (Muslim).
العربية: عن تميمٍ الداري رضي الله عنه أنّ النبيّ ﷺ قال: «الدين النصيحة»، قلنا: لمن؟ قال: «لله ولكتابه ولرسوله ولأئمة المسلمين وعامّتهم». (مسلم).
When someone seeks your advice — or truly needs it — give it honestly and gently, seeking their good.
