ʿĀʾishah said: “The Messenger of Allah ﷺ did not fast in any month more than in Shaʿbān; he would fast almost all of Shaʿbān.” (al-Bukhārī & Muslim). Shaʿbān is a month people are heedless of, in which deeds are raised to Allah — so he loved to fast it, preparing for Ramaḍān.

Fast extra days in Shaʿbān — a warm‑up for Ramaḍān and a month when deeds ascend to Allah.
