The Prophet ﷺ heard a man supplicating without praising Allah or sending ṣalāh upon him, and said: “This one has been hasty.” Then he ﷺ taught: “When one of you prays, let him begin with praise of his Lord, then send ṣalāh upon the Prophet ﷺ, then ask for what he wishes.” (Abū Dāwūd & Tirmidhī — ṣaḥīḥ).
