On the day of ʿĪd two girls were singing near ʿĀʾishah; Abū Bakr rebuked them, but the Prophet ﷺ said: “Leave them, Abū Bakr, for these are the days of ʿĪd.” (al-Bukhārī & Muslim). He ﷺ even let ʿĀʾishah watch the Abyssinians at play.
العربية: عن عائشة رضي الله عنها أنّ النبيّ ﷺ قال لأبي بكر: «دعهما يا أبا بكر فإنها أيام عيد». (البخاري ومسلم).
On ʿĪd, make room for wholesome fun and happiness for your family — it is part of the Sunnah.
