Modesty is a branch of faith and brings only good. The Prophet ﷺ was “more shy than a virgin in her private chamber.” (al-Bukhārī). He said: “Modesty is part of faith, and faith is in Paradise.” (Tirmidhī — ṣaḥīḥ). He passed a man rebuking his brother for being shy and said: “Leave him, for modesty is part of faith.” (al-Bukhārī).
العربية: عن أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه أنّ رسول الله ﷺ قال: «الحياءُ من الإيمان، والإيمانُ في الجنة». (الترمذي). وعن ابن مسعود: مرّ النبيّ ﷺ برجلٍ يعظ أخاه في الحياء فقال: «دعه فإنّ الحياء من الإيمان». (البخاري).
