Masjid Al Rayan Nikkah/Marriage Procedure 

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! Your decision to marry is a spiritual covenant that

 is rooted in a commitment to each other. A wedding is a joyous event, and we are honored that you’ve chosen us to share the occasion!

a. Al Rayan Islamic Centre offers Nikah (marriage) services by an Imam who is a licensed marriage officer

b. Please note we do NOT perform online/virtual or telephone nikkahs

To request the Marriage service,  please follow the following steps:-

1) Obtain your Marriage certificate from any city Hall in Ontario by completing the “Marriage Application Form (act 3)” and submit it to City Hall

a. Please note that the Imam will not perform any Nikkah without a valid marriage license which must be present at the time and place of the Nikkah ceremony

2) The original marriage license and the provided return envelope need to be given to the Imam before or by the Nikkah Date at the latest

3) Ensure the Wali (male Guardaian) and Bride & Groom are present

4) Agree on elected witnesses (minimum of two required), and agree on Dowry
