Al Rayan Islamic Centre Update on Coronavirus

Al Rayan Islamic Center acknowledges the community concerns around COVID-19 and wants to assure everyone that the the health, safety and well-being of employees, students and congregation is our top priority.
Al Rayan Islamic Center is implementing measures to ensure your safety as well as the safety of the congregation by;
- Cancelling all educational classes for all levels until further notice
- Providing and encouraging the use of hand sanitizers
- Cleaning wudu area with disinfectant
While Al Rayan Islamic Center is following the lead of Canadian public health authorities, Al Rayan Islamic Center also;
- Encourages anyone feeling unwell to perform Salat at home and follow the recommended guidelines to get tested
- Encourages the elderly and anyone with compromised immune system to perform Salat at home.
- Encourages that anyone who recently returned from travel and especially from the high risk countries to perform Salat at home for the recommended self-isolation period.
- Discourages all forms of physical greetings such as hugging, kissing and hand shaking
Please remember that the most effective way to prevent the spread of disease are things you do yourself.
- Wash your hands frequently
- When you cough or sneeze, cover your mouth with a tissue or the inside of your elbow
- If you have the flu-like symptoms, inform the people around you
