Youth Development Coordinator

We are currently recruiting for a Youth Development Coordinator for a 3 month contract at Al Rayan Islamic Centre.

Eligiblity&nbsp criterea:-

To be eligible, the candidate must meet ALL criteria as per the Canada Summer Jobs Grant:

• be between 15 and 30 years of age at the beginning of the employment period
• be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment
• have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.

Additionally:

• Previous experience with development, implementation and management of a youth development programs
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
• Ability to serve as a positive role model and mentor for youth
• A passion for improving the social and well being for the youth in our community
• Working patterns may vary, and flexibility with work hours will be required

Job Discription:-

• To collaborate with Directors and youth to develop, implement and supervise comprehensive programs for youth development and youth services
• To communicate with youth and organizations that represent youth to determine their needs and interests
• To develop programs that address drug use, bullying, health and fitness and relationships of the youth in our community
• To implement high quality social, educational, and recreational activities to connect with the youth in our community
• Recruiting training and overseeing of volunteers
• To liaise with Directors on a regular basis to inform them on the progress and implementation of the youth programs and services

 Starting Date :- 

Between April 25th and Sept 3rd 2022

Number of hours weekly : 35

Duration: 8 weeks

Rate per hour: $15
