Imam Gomaa Gomaa
Sheikh Gomaa Mahdi (Imam Jumaa) joined the Azhar institute in 1987 at the age of 6 and studied at Al-Azhar for 17 years. During this period, brother Jumaa studied basic Arabic and Islamic sciences - Tafseer, Hadith, and Fiqh according to Al-Azhar’s system of curriculum. In 2005, brother Sheikh Jumaa obtained a Bachelor Degree of Islamic Studies in English from Al-Azhar University Faculty of Languages and Translation, Islamic Studies In English Branch. Alongside with his academic studies, Sheikh Jumaa Mahdi studied traditional Islamic sciences at the hands of other senior scholars and specialists in Egypt. In 2006, Sheikh Imam was appointed as a professional Imam at the Egyptian Ministry of Awqaf. He has delivered numerous lectures and served as a regular Khateeb at Mosques in Alexandria, Egypt from 1999 to 2016. Since then, he is actively teaching and transferring his knowledge to his students. Besides his work as Imam, Sheikh Jumaa comes with a great deal of experience in teaching Arabic, Quran, Tajweed, and Islamic Studies for Arabs and non-Arabs at different organizations such as AlHuda International School, Madinah Arabic Tuition Center, Tayseerulquran Institute, and many others.
